Last updated: June 25, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using StackShield's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

2. Description of Service

StackShield provides external security monitoring services for Laravel applications. Our service scans your applications for known vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and security threats. We provide alerts and recommendations to help you maintain application security.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of StackShield, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering for our services
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Only monitor applications that you own or have explicit permission to monitor
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. Subscription and Payment

Some aspects of our service may require payment. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases. You agree to promptly update account and payment information to keep it current and complete.

5. Service Limitations

While we strive to provide useful security monitoring, you expressly acknowledge and agree that StackShield:

  • Detects only a subset of known, externally observable issues and cannot and does not guarantee the detection of any or all vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, malware, or security issues;
  • Performs external scanning only and does not have access to your application source code, internal systems, or runtime environment;
  • Provides recommendations only and does not implement, apply, or verify any fix or remediation;
  • May produce incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or false-positive or false-negative results;
  • Depends on third-party data and tooling and on the availability and responsiveness of your applications, which may affect scan coverage and results.

The absence of a finding, alert, or report does not mean that your application is secure or free of vulnerabilities. A clean or passing scan is not a representation, warranty, or guarantee of security and must not be relied upon as one. You remain solely responsible for the security of your applications, systems, and data, including identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, whether or not they are detected or reported by StackShield.

6. No Warranties; Security Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

StackShield does not warrant that it will identify, detect, or report any particular vulnerability or all vulnerabilities, and makes no warranty as to the completeness or accuracy of any scan, finding, or recommendation. You assume all risk and responsibility for your use of, and any reliance on, the service and its results.

7. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StackShield and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STACKSHIELD, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Without limiting the foregoing, StackShield shall not be liable for any vulnerability, misconfiguration, malware, exploit, security incident, breach, unauthorized access, data loss, or other harm that StackShield did not detect or report, or that arises from your failure to act on any finding or recommendation. You acknowledge that no security service can identify every vulnerability and that the security of your applications remains your responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackShield's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to StackShield for the service during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
